DVHS Speaker Series - Dundas at the Charge: Dundas Connections with the Crimean War

 

On February 9th, the Dundas Historical Society will look from the Dundas Valley to the ‘Valley of Death’!

Dundas Museum & Archives Exhibitions Curator Austin Strutt will explore some of the fascinating and unexpected connections between the Town of Dundas and the Crimean War of 1853-1856. Learn the stories of veterans who settled in the Valley Town. Hear the colourful history of the Town Hall Cannon. And see how the conflict influenced local place names.
