Join us for a presentation by Dave Loewith about his family’s dairy farm near Copetown.

After coming to Canada in 1938 as refugees from Czechoslovakia, Joe and Minna Loewith purchased the farm in 1947. Seventy-seven years later, the farm is still in the family with sons Carl and Dave and grandson Ben at the helm. The farm’s herd has grown from 15 cows to sometimes over 1000 head altogether and produces over one third of the milk in Wentworth County. In 2023, the farm opened Summit Station Dairy & Creamery as a farmer to consumer retail and delivery business.

The meeting begins at 7pm. Admission is $4, or free for Society members.
