Impressions Lecture Series: Dr. Ihor Holubizky
The Dundas Museum and Archives welcomes Dr. Ihor Holubizky, Senior Curator at the McMaster Museum of Art, to our Impressions: 500 Years of Printmaking exhibition lecture series. For this Impressions Lecture Series segment, Ihor will lecture about “The Second Hand, and the Third Man- 500 Years of Making and Remaking”.
Ihor has a PhD in art history from the University of Queensland, Australia. Holubizky has held curatorial positions across Canada; at the Art Gallery at Harbourfront/Power Plant Toronto; the Art Gallery of Hamilton; the Kelowna Art Gallery, Confederation Centre Art Gallery and Museum London. In Australia, he was a curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, the Art Museum at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, and a contract curator-researcher for the University of Queensland Art Museum, Brisbane.
Ihor has lectured internationally over the past 34 years and has contributed to numerous publications and critical journals in the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
