Museum Camp 2024
Following the success of our two summer camps, the Dundas Museum and Archives is excited to offer day camps on HWDSB PA days for ages 5-10.
Camp: Museum Movie Magic |
Description: Campers experience movie magic here at the Museum! Campers will learn about the history of film through artifacts, become familiar with various film and photography technologies used throughout history, and enjoy collaborating with others to make their very own cinematic masterpieces. This fun-filled day also includes arts & crafts, outdoor play, and local trail and park exploration. |

*Registering Parent/Guardian must hold a current Family Friends of the Museum Membership subscription to be eligible for our Member discount.
Camp drop-off will be between 8:30 am and 9:00 am at the Museum’s front entrance at 139 Park St. West. Camp pick-up will be between 4:00 pm and 4:30pm, also at the Museum’s front entrance.
Fees are waived for support persons accompanying Camp participants with special needs. Support persons must be 18+ and adhere to the Dundas Museum and Archives policies and procedures.
Registration
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Both payment and a completed New Camper Registration Form must be received before your registration can be confirmed. To register:
- Fill out the form below.
- You will be sent the New Camper Registration Form by email.
- Complete, sign and return the New Camper Registration Form.
- Complete payment (E-Transfer to mail@dundasmuseum.ca, or In-Person or By Phone).
- You will receive registration confirmation from our team once the above steps have been completed.
General Information/FAQ
Location
Camps take place at the Dundas Museum and Archives, 139 Park St. West, Dundas, Ontario.
Our indoor space is air-conditioned and has a HEPA filtration system. The Museum is fully accessible using our Albert St. entrance, and there is an elevator to access the galleries.
Outdoors, we also have gardens and lawn areas surrounding the Museum, which may be used for camp activities. There may also be occasional walking excursions to nearby locations such as parks, galleries or libraries.
What to Bring
- Backpack that holds all items;
- Refillable water bottle;
- Nut-free snacks for morning and afternoon;
- Nut-free lunch;
- Personal sunscreen;
- Athletic footwear, comfortable clothing, and a hat
- A change of clothes;
- Any required medications or Epipen
Tax Receipts
Signed tax receipts will be available for pickup with the camper at the end of the day.

Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations received prior to September 13th, 2024, and all modifications are subject to a $20 administration fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations made after September 13th, 2024. If we are unable to deliver a Camp, all registration fees will be refunded in full.
