Women and Beer Talk

Join members of Queen of Craft, Lindsey Mrav cofounder of  Grain & Grit Brewing Co. and the ladies of Shawn & Ed Brewing Company as they talk about the history of women in brewing.

Did you know the first still license in the area was granted to early settler Anne Morden? Women have always played a significant role in the creating, selling, and consuming of beer and liquor. Come and hear about the roles women occupy today in the industry and culture and the integral ways women have developed to the rich tavern heritage of the region. Admission includes a souvenir glass and samples of the beers discussed in this talk. Everyone welcome.

A portion of the proceeds from this talk will be donated to Interval House of Hamilton, a provider of emergency shelter, safety planning and support services for women with or without children that have experienced abuse or violence.

Tickets are $25 for general admission or $20 for Friends of the Museum Members.

Member discount not available for tickets purchased online. Member tickets may be purchased at the museum or by calling (905) 627 – 7412.
